{"id":2785,"date":"2024-05-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/www.youradv.com\/people\/advantages-susan-ward-named-a-top-woman-in-convenience\/"},"modified":"2024-05-15T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T00:00:00","slug":"advantages-susan-ward-named-a-top-woman-in-convenience","status":"publish","type":"mrktblog-posts","link":"https:\/\/youradv.com\/mrktblog\/advantages-susan-ward-named-a-top-woman-in-convenience\/","title":{"rendered":"Advantage\u2019s Susan Ward Named a Top Woman in Convenience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Susan Ward, division sales manager for the West region of the Mars Wrigley dedicated c-store headquarter team at Advantage Solutions, was named one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/events.csnews.com\/twic2024\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2024 Top Women in Convenience<\/a> by <em>Convenience Store News<\/em> in recognition of her work in the c-store channel.<\/p>\n<p>Ward was singled out as a senior-level <strong>convenience retail leader<\/strong> by the Top Women in Convenience awards program, which recognizes the integral role women play in convenience retailing and honors recipients from the retailer, wholesaler and supplier communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was extremely flattered and surprised when I received the notification of the award,\u201d she says. \u201cI know and have worked with several of the past winners, and I\u2019m incredibly honored to be mentioned in their company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis award is a symbol of the collective effort put forth by my team and the unwavering support from my loved ones. I would also like to say that mentorship is a priceless gift, and I appreciate the mentors I\u2019ve had throughout my longer than 34-year career who played a crucial role in my development within the CPG industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>A Leader Across the Western U.S.<\/h2>\n<p>In her role, Ward is responsible for the overall management of her assigned markets, which include most of the western portion of the U.S. (including direct responsibility for more than 120 c-store chains and 46 c-store distributors).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve worked with Susan for over 22 years and during that time she\u2019s demonstrated impeccable leadership and a drive for results,\u201d says Michael Davis, senior director of sales and Susan\u2019s direct supervisor. \u201cI think her most admirable quality is her servant-leader approach to managing her people.
