Its members include independent and chain retailers, food manufacturers and companies providing critical services to the food industry.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his role at Advantage, Peacock is a 30-year veteran of the retail and consumer packaged goods industries, having served as president and chief operating officer of Schnuck Markets and as company president at Anheuser-Busch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to join a group of talented industry leaders on the FMI board of directors, and I look forward to working alongside them to advance the organization\u2019s mission of feeding families and enriching lives,\u201d Peacock said.<\/p>\n<p>Peacock and other Advantage senior leaders plan to attend FMI\u2019s Midwinter Conference in January.<\/p>\n<p>The new board additions were elected at FMI\u2019s September board meeting and reflect the association\u2019s diverse retailer, distributor and supplier membership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFMI is incredibly grateful to have leaders from across the food industry serve on our board of directors, who believe whole-heartedly in our mission to feed families and enrich lives,\u201d says FMI President and CEO Leslie Sarasin. \u201cTheir dedication to supporting our industry through moments of uncertainty as well as opportunity guides the work we do every day for our members and inspires us to strive for continuous improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Peacock, other industry leaders named to the FMI board include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bill Artman, Giant Eagle, Pittsburgh<\/li>\n<li>Deb Conklin, KeHE Distributors, Naperville, Ill.<\/li>\n<li>John Conlin, Target Corp., Minneapolis<\/li>\n<li>Michael D\u2019Amour, Big Y Foods, Springfield, Mass.<\/li>\n<li>Greg Edenfield, Wayfield Foods, Lithia Springs, Ga.<\/li>\n<li>J.
